70 years old. I had purchased various OTC mouth guards over the past two years from my local drug store after a student dentist advised that I wear a guard at night to prevent grinding. (This after installing a crown.) The only problem was that at least one of the brands was very “rubbery.” So like a dog with a chew toy, I found myself rhythmically biting into the guard at night - hard - giving me bad TMJ.

After going to another dentist about my TMJ, he advised that I buy a real Retainer.

Naturally, he wanted to sell me one. $400?

Fortunately, a hygienist at yet another dental office recommended Retainers Direct. (I just sent her a letter yesterday thanking her for that recommendation.)

There were other similar providers on the Internet. But one gave you only one set of putty and wanted to sell you extra if you needed it. (I used two of three. There’s a learning process.) All charged more than Retainers Direct but included less.

It took about a month from the time I clicked to order to the time that I received my Retainer. (It’s amazing how much your teeth can move in that short time.) The procedure was painless - literally and figuratively. (As in, “easy.”)

And the price is right.

After having been through such a terrible process with my aligner company I was dreading the retainer process. But, from start to finish retainers direct was such an easy process. If you follow the instructions for the impression kit there shouldn't be any issues from their on out. I really appreciated how they gave you different sizes to do the impressions instead of trying to do a "one size fits all" which can be painful and uncomfortable. My retainers arrived on time and are perfect. Great value and I appreciated that they stay in constant communication about where my retainers were in the process. Highly recommend. Will only purchase my retainers from Retainers Direct moving forward.

.. in the meantime I had to order additional putty because one impression was imperfect. I think I got it right the second time, and am now waiting for my new retainers. I love the system of ordering these new retainers. I look forward to having success when I receive them! Thanks!

I am replacing a retainer from my dentist that cost me almost $300. It seems brittle and about ready to crack. The retainer from Retainers Direct arrived within the time stated. It fits perfectly. A lot of customers argue that it's a long process- it can be. It's very stressful, especially when you're worried about your teeth shifting. Be patient.
